Monday Football
Monday Football
Two from three for a profit on the Spanish football on Sunday. The total weekend football profit was 35.08pts from 5pts staked Saturday and 4pts staked Sunday. That’s £350.80 profit using just £10 stakes.
We have looked at the Monday football from around the globe namely; Albania, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and this country of course. That’s 26 different countries to search for some value winners.
Only 2 games stood out for us but with both teams playing at home the Betfair prices of 1.39 and 1.29 on Seville (Spain) and Fenerbahce (Turkey) are to short to get involved with, both should win their Monday football matches however.
Spanish Football Treble
Spanish Football Treble
Fingers crossed for today’s Spanish football trixie, Murcia have already triumphed for us 2-1 at the tasty odds of 2.89 after being 1-0 down at half-time. Betis 3.04 and Celta Vigo 2.40 in the Spanish second division are the days other two Spanish football selections.
It takes hours of research to narrow down selections avoiding the obvious and seeking out some value from around the world and such is the success of our football so far that we are only going to be running two services now, the Insider Bet Of The Day and a Private Football Service.
Our odds against trixie (3 doubles, 1 treble) on the saturday football all won Derby, Charlton and Motherwell at 14/1 and the single on Derby which we took at an incredible 2/1 on Betfair never gave a moments worry being 3-0 after 30 odd minutes.
How Derby were ever that price when they were playing Portsmouth, the team with the worst away record in the league, I’ll never know, but that is one of the beautiful quirks of Betfair. High street bookies had them priced around 11/10.
Our Insider bet won again yesterday at 9/4 to make it 4 winners from 6 bets since last weekend.
Football experiments
An excellent day for us yesterday with our football experiments on the Betfair football markets. Just three bets were selected that suited our football experiments criteria. The remainder of the games we viewed for a variety of reasons we did not get involved in, some like the Napoli and Bayern Munich game produced a goal to early and others were priced to short. This very selective approach payed dividends increasing our bank by 14% on the day.
We struck three football experiment bets, two just before the games and one as the in-play market started using approximately a 9% stake. The games we used were the early Champions League group fixture between CSKA Moscow and Trapzonspor which ended 3-0, the AFC Champions League Play-Off game between Al Wehdat verses Nasaf which finished 1-1 and the Blue Square Premier League game between Alfreton and Fleetwood Town which finished 1-4.
Early football experiment indications are that this is a method to look at more closely and see how prices fluctuate during the game, certainly the two games analysed yesterday (Champions league and Asia Champions League games) threw up some surprises for me and certainly gave some food for thought, however the key must always be not to be too greedy, which is just so easy for the majority of punters.
Quick Round Up
A 2-2 draw Newcastle v Tottenham, it looked the obvious result to us, but what a well mannered game, players smiling, shaking hands, helping each other up, good to see, an advert for the game of football.
Thirty five runners in 7 races at Plumpton an average of 5 a race leaving just Windsor and Pontefract so we won’t be getting involved today.
There are small e/w words for Descaro 4.10 Pontefract 7/1, Vimiero 4.00 Windsor 11/2 and Tinshu 8/1 in the same race, Samba Night 2.30 Windsor 5/1. We wanted to oppose the favourite in the first at Plumpton but the price on the second favourite isn’t good enough.
A Quiet Week
A quiet week for us, the Insider Bet of the Day Service for instance only having 2 bets this week, Bundle of Fun finishing second and Ballesteros a winner at odds of 7.80 having previously won for us at nice odds also.
The service continues to show the steady growth our betting bank likes to see. Not every horse wins of course and there will be spells in the doldrums as with any service, such is the nature of gambling, but steady growth now over 5 months speaks for itself. As an example the last 54 bets have shown a level stakes profit £1800 showing a selective approach pays dividends.
Our members have really been enjoying the football season to date. Our 48/1 international accumulator put us substantially in profit for the season and we followed that up with Wales at 11/4 (which we indicated to you all through this newsletter) and yesterday Leyton Orient, Peterborough, Crystal Palace, Norwich, Stoke and Hereford, all winning for us at evens or odds against.
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend, we will be watching with interest the Tottenham team news, if Sandro and Adebayor don’t make it then certainly for us a draw would be favourite.
